This is for the room directly adjoining the Living Room. It has 2 large windows and a MASSIVE sliding glass door that lets in tons of light. So it is known around these parts as the Sun Room. Casual, airy, with some dark accents. It has cherry wood beam ceilings (one of my favorite features of the house) which I will take pictures of when it looks more like a room and less like a dance floor!

Living Room Inspiration
Since we bought our house, nearly every spare moment of my conscious existence has been focused on how to best furnish and decorate this place. I am flashing back to my college summers organizing paint chips at Group Mackenzie and trying to tap into any latent interior design skills to turn this house into a legitimate HOME.
Here's some inspiration for the living room...

I love my own self
Paper Coterie Growth Charts
Here are some growth charts I recently designed for Paper Coterie. I must admit, I had never heard of a growth chart until I started working on this project. Now I am fully initiated—they double as pretty decor and are a nice, clean way track a child's height as they grow (no more marking up the wall and stuff.)
Paper Coterie Calendar
A few months back, I designed this Frame by Frame Calendar for Paper Coterie—a new site that features beautiful, customizable paper products. Seriously, check them out. If not for a calendar mid-way through 2011, perhaps a photo book or a growth chart? I am posting some of those next!

1st Birthday Invites
I recently designed some birthday invitations for my favorite baby boy.
Mom and Dad liked them, and I did too! Jake will thank me later, I'm sure.
Party on!

Embroidery Illies
I thought this little project deserved a post.

My crafting exchange partner Jill commissioned these custom embroidery pattern illustrations a while back:

Explanation...she is part of a dinner group with a bunch of teachers who work through Saturday, so Tuesday is their "hump day."
Now behold the finished product!
I think she really brought the illustrations to life, don't you?
