Day 10: Vintage Candle Wrapper

So, today's download was kind of an experiment. I wanted to make a candle wrapper, but I also wanted it to be semi-transparent so that the light of the flame would glow through. I decided I would print the design on tissue paper. Did you know you can run tissue paper through your inkjet printer? Here's a great tutorial on how to do it. Truthfully, all I did was made 4 tape squares and stuck it to cardstock and it worked just fine. There was a little bit of wrinkling, but I actually kind of love the effect.

This design works well for a small jar candle, but can be cut down to fit votive-sized candles if you'd like. When you're done cutting, you can either Mod Podge the wrapper on your candle, or wrap it more loosely and tie it with some twine like I did here.
